Welcome to

Charné Glinski Psychology

Background

I specialise in providing a warm and genuine space for young adults and millenials seeking to understand their world.

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist currently running my own practice where she practices individual psychotherapy.

My experience in public health hospitals and clinics built a strong foundation in child, adolescent, and family mental health. My research career began in adolescent-focused research through the hey baby study and the Accelerate Hub (2020), where I was a qualitative investigator for a mixed methods longitudinal cohort study which explores protective pathways to promote resilience amongst adolescent parents and their children in South Africa.

Clinically, I am skilled in trauma-informed, developmentally sensitive assessment and intervention, drawing on evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and gender-affirming care. I am  especially experienced in and passionate about supporting young people facing trauma, neuro-developmental challenges, interpersonal instability, and identity-related distress.

About Me

I am a Cape Town based clinical psychologist offering psychotherapy to young people and adults.

The core of my practice is engaging authentically and with compassion:

with the neat and well planned, with last minute and spontaneous, the messy and uncomfortable.

I’m here for all of it.
